Meet The Pets From Marin Humane On This Week's Furry Fridays!

These pets are available to adopt at Marin Humane, along with a ton of other amazing pets who deserve a great forever home!

Get to know Rocky:

Husky lovers, look over here! Just past the annoying adolescent phase of life, Rocky (3ish?) is one of our playgroup all-stars. In addition to his Mr. Popularity status, Rocky is house-trained, knows how to play fetch, likes getting brushed and is ready to train (for some tasty treats, of course). Rocky just needs one thing - his human bestie.

Rocky is most certainly Siberian Husky, and maybe he's got a dash of Malamute or German Shepherd in there to make his features just a little bit different than your average Husky. He's got a unique presence for sure and we think that makes him extra cool. Rocky's looking for a pretty active person or family. Huskies are known for their athleticism and Rocky is no exception. Robust exercise will set you up for the after party: the couch potato part of the show. You get both, which is also pretty cool. All the "puppy stuff" is in Rocky's past and he's ready to learn a few new things like maybe Nose work or Agility or how about Urban Mushing?!

Rocky really wants to join you on life's adventures and make you laugh along the way with his Husky sense of humor. If clever Huskies are your jam, have we got a friend for you!

We've waived the adoption fees for ALL of our dogs and puppies through Friday, July 15, so Rocky can go home to an adopter sans fees.

Get to know Athena:

Sweet, pretty Athena would love to meet you! She can be sensitive around new people but makes new friends quickly. We think she's an American Bully. She's squattier and beefier than a Pit Bull, and acts more like a bulldog. This includes her rough-and-tumble play style with other dogs. She likes toys and is still learning how to fetch. We can see her in a home with children and possibly another dog. We don't have any test cats at the shelter, so we're not sure if she could live with cats. Athena is the type of dog you could bring to a cafe or beer garden with you to chill, watch the world go by, and make new friends.

Get to know Tamara:

Petite Tamara is a sweet timid girl who loves attention. She feels safest in a little cubby, but comes out to meet us at every visit. Tamara has tiny raspy meows and she eagerly soaks up all the love we offer her--ear rubs, cheek rubs, chin rubs and petting. She asks for more attention with body rubs, head bunts and great big purrs. She climbs into our laps, purrs up a storm and gives kitty hugs to people she knows and loves. She enjoys playtime with a ribbon wand toy or a foil ball.

Get to know Ziona:

Fortunately, Ziona was found by a concerned citizen hopping around a local street and brought in. Now she's in a foster home where it's much quieter and more Zen. Her foster "mom" tells us: In just a few weeks Ziona is less worried, more relaxed, and stretches into the "flat bunny" pose often (the sign of a very relaxed bun). I've been letting her lay in my lap in the evening and she would be there all night if I let her! She is moving around her pen more and coming forward to be petted for a short period of time (and so long as I don't move too quickly). She also enjoys chewing on a Bunny Blast bamboo toy. For sure a calm household with adults only would be best for her. Or she may be fine with older calm children.

Ziona needs a very patient family to help her gain confidence. She truly is a rabbit needing that second chance at life.

Tune into Marcus & Sandy every Friday to meet another animal that could be your family's next pet.
