SF Sets Flood Barriers For Major Storm Ahead

The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission is setting flood barriers in the low-lying areas along 17th and Folsom Streets.

"The storm, an atmospheric river and a rare tropical event in April, is expected to dump 1 to 3 inches of rain in San Francisco and Oakland, according to the National Weather Service. In the the North Bay, the storm could bring between 3 and 6 inches." (SFGATE)

The barriers will be set up early this morning, before the expected rain begins this evening and increase on Friday.

Be careful this weekend! We are said to get FOUR TRILLION gallons in the few days and there will be lots of debris and mud.  DRIVE SAFE!
