Even though the entire Friends cast has remained tight knit since the show first premiered 25 years ago, a new report alludes that Matthew Perry and Courteney Cox may have been more than just friends back in the day. They were more than friends on the show, as well, playing married couple Chandler Bing and Monica Geller. A source now says that Perry has been hung up on his on-screen wife for years.
“Matthew’s always been in love with her,” a source told Us Weekly. Even though the show has been off the air for 15 years, “Matthew has never fully been able to get over her,” the source added.
Despite this reported unrequited love, the former co-stars are close friends IRL. Not only did they recently together with the rest of their Friends co-stars for dinner, Perry and Cox grabbed lunch together, as well. “Could I BE any happier?” Cox captioned a sweet selfie with Perry.
