After 44 Years, The Saddlerack Is Closing Permanently

This breaks my heart!

After opening it's doors 44 years ago, in 1976, The Saddlerack is closing it's doors permanently. Management wrote on their website Friday, "We are deeply saddened that we must lose the place that so many of us have called home over the past years, but are also extremely thankful to have created the relationship with everyone who has walked through our doors."

Man. It's so hard seeing so many businesses shut down because of the Coronavirus, let alone one that's been a Bay Area staple for over 4 decades! I hadn't been to the Saddlerack in years, but it's one of those places that made me happy to think about. I've line danced there. Made out with a hot dude I danced with there. Got my first taste of country music there. I never rode the mechanical bull...I was too afraid, but most of my friends did. I was planning to go back this summer, too.

Do you have any Saddlerack memories? I am hoping and praying the staff are okay through this difficult time.
