I loved this story so much it was my "good news" today!
A 34-year-old man named Steven McCool just found a 4.5 carat yellow diamond at Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas! Now, this article doesn't say how much it's worth, but after a little Googling it seems like it's worth anywhere from $30,000-$80,000! Apparently he found this diamond (the size of a jellybean) about 30 minutes before the park closed. At first he thought it was just amber-colored glass, or parts of a Coke bottle. But once inspected, he learned it was the real deal. Amazing! This is my life's dream....I swear I'm gonna be one of those old people at the beach with metal detectors, no lie. Hah!
