These pets are available to adopt, along with a ton of other amazing pets at Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA who deserves a great forever home!

Get to know Max and Ruby:

This week we are presenting a twofer of absolute adorableness! Meet bonded Fancy Mice duo, Max and Ruby. This delicate pair will have you uttering sweet squeals of delight every time you see them. Max and Ruby are both one-year-old female Fancy Mice and since they are bonded, they must be adopted together. They truly are beguiling with their maple-colored fur and teeny tiny pink feet. Just because they are Fancy Mice doesn’t mean they are posh, although they might appreciate a Downton Abbey marathon with their new family since they are very social and like to be held. Max and Ruby are also super fond of nibbling on leafy greens and a weekly treat of fruit. These tiny ladies are ideal for people seeking quiet animal companions since they are well…quiet as a mouse.

Get to know Bernard:

We continue to scratch our heads and wonder why has Bernard not been adopted yet? He’s pretty much the perfect dog and has been waiting at our shelter for 149 days for his forever home. So, in the hopes of finding Bernard a new home to call his own, we’re anointing him Pet of the Week again. He’s a two-year-old neutered male Pointer mix who overflows with an abundance of energy. When we say high energy, think of a triple espresso and you’ll get the gist. Aside from being energetic, Bernard has many other fine qualities as well. He’s brilliant, outgoing, eager to learn and unbelievably good-looking. Since Bernard’s energy can be overwhelming for young children, he’ll do best in a home with older kids or adults only. Are you ready to add this spirited lad to your home? Give us a call and ask for Bernard ID# A888788.

Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA is open for adoptions by appointment. Please call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment to meet Bernard. Visit www.PHS-SPCA.org for more information.

Get to know Don:

Just take a gander at this handsome guy! We bet you are probably exclaiming “Be still my beating heart!” For Don the rabbit is indeed a looker. Don is an adult neutered male rabbit with super soft speckled white and black fur. He can be shy at first, but don’t mistake that for him just not being into you. With some patience, once he feels more comfortable, Don will definitely warm up and exhibit his bouncy and playful side. This bunny’s hobbies include chomping on fresh veggies, watching romantic comedies and practicing his signature binky style. For those not in the known about this adorable rabbit trait, a binky is when a rabbit jumps around flicking their head and feet to communicate joy and excitement. Looking for a suave and sweet rabbit friend who is eager to show off his binkies? Ask for Don ID# A891595.

Get to know Verona:

Verona is a distinguished 12-year-old lady. She’s shorthaired, small sized, spayed female cat. She starts off a little shy and would do best in a quieter home where there would be fewer things to startle her. Once she gets to know you, though, watch out! She loves to be around people and can't get enough pets and will just keep coming back for more. Despite her age, she still has a little strut in her stuff and likes to play for short bits of time as well. Ask for Verona ID# A893175
