It was as I was making dinner last night that the missus asked me if I had heard about the salmonella outbreak linked to onions from a specific distributor of onions from Mexico. It's affecting 37 states in the US with several hundred cases. The CDC is recommending to check your source and if it can't be verified, to throw your onions out. Here is all the info.
