My Journey With Multiple Sclerosis

I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2008.

I was only 23 years old, I had just started working fulltime - and I had NO IDEA what MS was.

Multiple Sclerosis is a very unpredictable disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain and between the brain and body. It's an often disabling disease.

Everyone with Multiple Sclerosis experiences different symptoms. Mine are different every day. Most of the time, the right side of my body feels numb, weak and tingly. Some days I have double and blurred vision, extreme fatigue, joint pain, migraines, slurred speech and brain fog.

Every year, my friends and family participate in WALK MS with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. We raise over $10,000 every year which brings us one step closer to finding a cure. I am confident that we will soon live in a world that is free from MS!

Support is CRUCIAL. My husband continues to learn everything he can about MS

Multiple Sclerosis is not directly inherited in the traditional sense, meaning it's not passed down from parent to child like a simple genetic trait.

Besides MRIs, I also get nerve tests to see how my brain responds.
