Jordan Phillips has skills with a sewing machine. The 13-year-old from Athens, Ohio makes pillows, headbands, skirts, quilts, and recently her ketchup packet Halloween costume. And when her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, the teen decided to put her sewing skills to good use, making coffee cozys to raise money for breast cancer research.
She raised over $18,000 and the cozys just got picked up by Wal-Mart to be featured in their stores this fall! Amazing job, Jordan! Here is more info.
