Memorials announced for SF Mayor Ed Lee

People everywhere are mourning the death of our beloved Mayor Ed Lee.

Mayor Lee will be brought up the Polk Street steps and into the City Hall at 7a Friday. Mourners will come in and file past the closed casket from 8a to 7p.  Mourners will be invited to sign a book of remembrance.

On Sunday, the building will open at 2p. The memorial service will begin at 3p.  Lee’s predecessor in the mayor’s office are being invited to speak for up to two minutes each, and former Mayor Willie Brown is expected to be among them.

The public is welcome to attend both events however, they are asking people to be patient and prompt.

Ed Lee, you will be missed.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to every one who is deeply affected by his death.  He will always be remembered.
