We are devastated by the passing of Anthony Bourdain. He was found early this morning in his hotel room in France and had hung himself in an apparent suicide. Please remember that everyone is going through something. Sometimes they just need a hug, a smile, or a kind word to snap out of it.
If YOU are going through something, remember there is ALWAYS another way out. Call the suicide prevention hotline: 1-800-273-8255.
When the wife and I met him, I was so star-struck, I couldn’t STOP talking. Anthony Bourdain was everything I wanted to be: pragmatic unapologetic, and authentic. He was one of my heroes. But he had his demons, just like the rest of us. If you’re struggling right now, remember that there is someone out there who loves you, who needs you, and who wants to see you. There is ALWAYS hope. Call for help 1-800-273-8255. Rest easy, Chef. You were one of a kind. #RIP #anthonybourdain
This is beyond sad. An incredibly charming, bright, curious and talented man. Rest In Peace, Anthony.— Sandy Stec (@SandyStec) June 8, 2018
