LEGO has launched their first sustainable building bricks. They’re made of sugarcane plastic and are shaped like plants. And the Danish toymaker has big plans to expand its sustainability program, their goal is to make most of their products and packaging from environmentally friendly materials or recycled materials by 2030.
These new plant bricks are just the first step in LEGO’s plan. The “Plants from Plants” sets will be included for free with all purchases over $40 at LEGO’s online store in the UK, Germany, and Austria through August 17th and here in the U.S. and Canada until August 14th.
