A flu vaccine minus the shot... Sound like something you'd be into?


New medical technology is on the horizon that would allow people to protect against the virus without getting poked in the arm.

According to the UK's National Health Service:

The patch, around the size of a standard plaster, contains 100 "microneedles" – tiny needles containing the vaccine, which then dissolve after delivering a dose.

Researchers say the patch provided as much protection as needles in a human trial.
