It's that time of year in the Bay Area


Keep an ear out for rattlesnakes while hiking or doing other outdoor activities. As SF Gate reminds us, "The easiest way to distinguish between species is through sight and sound. That characteristic rattling noise – similar to the sound a baby's rattle makes– is your first clue that a rattlesnake is lurking nearby."
