One of the Bay Area's most popular airlines to discontinue non-stop routes

If you're a regular flyer to one of two destinations impacted by the changes, you'll need to come up with a new plan beginning November 4.

Southwest Airlines has announced a discontinuation of its three daily non-stops from SFO to both Portland and Orange County. At the same time, the airline will increase flights to those destinations from San Jose.

The focus on San Jose appears to be following a recent Southwest trend. According to SF Gate, "By year's end, Southwest will be offering 99 daily departures at SJC to 25 destinations, solidifying its position as that airport's largest operator."
