Some research we can all put to good use, right?!
In his book, The Brain: The Story of You, David Eagleman outlines a strategy based on nueroscience.
Basically, if you're doing routine, mundane things - watching TV, reading, doing laundry, grocery shopping, etc. - you're doing it WRONG.
Instead, Eagleman suggests taking more of an explorer's route... Try new restaurants, explore a different part of town, get outside your comfort zone.
Apparently, you can trick your brain into registering that time as being longer than it actually was.
LET'S DO IT!
H/T to PureWow for the find (I just ordered the book so I can read it in its entirety - sounds interesting!).
