Millions of pounds of beef being recalled

JBS Tolleson, Inc. is now recalling more than 12 million pounds of raw beef products that may be tainted with salmonella.

The beef recalled was packaged between July 26th and September 7th according to the FSIS.

These products have been distributed nationwide include the brands Kroger, Cedar River Farms, Grass Run Farms and JBS generic.

This recall is now an expansion of the recall first issued back in October.

Now, this outbreak has caused 246 people to become sick in 25 states, including 50 people in Colorado according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

No deaths have been reported but 56 people have been hospitalized.

The recall notice states "FSIS is continuing to investigate illnesses associated with this widespread outbreak, and additional product from other companies may also be recalled"

If you have any recalled beef, you should throw it away or return it as soon as possible!
