Luxury brand releases sneakers that are purposely dirty

Who in the world has money to waste spend on sneakers that intentionally look dirty!?

Gucci is selling a pair of sneakers that have been made to look dirty. The luxury retailer's Screener leather sneaker costs $870 and comes in three different styles featuring the brand's classic red and green stripe, and a few smudges of dirt.

Gucci's website describes the sneakers as "influenced by classic trainers from the '70's." They look like they could actually be from the 70's, not just inspired by the era.
