What an amazing video!
Tourists in Iceland were left fleeing to higher ground on Sunday as a large wave triggered by a glacier collapse came rushing their way. No tourists were harmed, they all got out of the way of the icy wave in time.
Tourists were admiring the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier in Vatnajökull National Park in southeastern Iceland, when they heard a cracking and saw a side of the glacier brake off and into the water.
None of the tourists got hurt or even got wet. This area is only accessible with a trained mountaineer and everyone is briefed about what to do in case of ice calvings before they head out on their adventure. And now they have a great story tell!
