Anyone else encounter an issue like this?
Yesterday, our four year-old was riding his new "Big Kid Bike" for the first time (yes, that's a baseball helmet he's wearing in the video below... wanted to set the tone for proper safety even though we didn't actually have the proper safety equipment in the confines of our backyard).
As he was running down his new bike's features, he pointed out the "stabilizers." It caught me off guard, because I'm used to calling those same two little wheels "training wheels." I asked him where he learned that word and he immediately replied, "Peppa Pig."
It's actually not the first time something like that has happened.
A couple of months ago, he asked me to "mend" something he had broken.
Turns out, it's actually a "thing" with parents of kids who watch the British kids' cartoon:
I guess you could say our kids just sound more cultured... RIGHT!? :)
