This was the scene less than 100 miles from San Francisco on Sunday.
Looks like a Winter Wonderland in the 209!
Apparently, hail was to blame. According to SF Gate, "A fierce and isolated storm cell focused on north Stockton around Lincoln Center dumped hail for a half-hour straight beginning at 2:30 p.m. The hail blanketed streets, parking lots and front yards, up to 2 inches deep, creating an unseasonably wintry scene in mid-May."
Debbie Hernandez, who was in Stockton at the time, shared a number of pictures and videos on Twitter:
Her footage has been picked up by lots of media outlets. Dramatic!
