Know someone who's starting college soon?
This might be some helpful info!
Not to discourage anyone from following their dreams, BUT... there appears to be quite a difference in the employability of various majors.
HeyTutor.com crunched the numbers, and here's what they found:
DEGREES WITH THE HIGHEST UNEMPLOYMENT RATES
- Mass Media (7.8%)
- Liberal Arts (6.7%)
- Anthropology (6.6%)
- Philosophy (6.2%)
- Construction Services (6.1%)
MAJORS WITH THE LOWEST UNEMPLOYMENT RATES
- Theology and Religion (1.0%)
- Medical Technicians (1.0%)
- Early Childhood Education (1.7%)
- General Education (1.7%)
- Public Policy and Law (1.7%)
Not suggesting you chart your path in life based on these numbers, but if you're on the fence about whether you should major in Mass Media... maybe it's worth re-thinking your options?
