San Jose girl makes history on the football field

It was a first for her school, and may be the first time in California's history that a female player threw a touchdown pass in a varsity football game.

17 year-old senior Ariel Orona had fans in the stands at Silver Creek High School's game against Campbell's Westmont High excited as soon as the ball left her hands:

 

In an interview with KTVU Orona said, "“I was excited. I’ve been practicing the last three weeks, practicing that throw over and over again.”
