Going Bald For A Movie Role

Last week I had the pleasure of working on my second film ever. It's called Tsuru, written and directed by Gabriella Ono, a brilliant New York Film Academy student. I played the role of Lucy, the mother of a high school student who is sitting in the admissions office of a college she wants to attend explaining her essay. The essay, is about me, the mom, and my battle with cancer and our relationship. It's a touching story and I'll let you know when it comes out so you can see.

Here I am as "Lucy" and Sabrina Allane as "Sophia" my daughter:

The crazy and exciting part for me, was going bald to portray me going through chemo. This was tough. I mean, look at all that hair!

It wasn't easy going bald. There was panty hose, pulling, glue, and about two hours to hide it all!

But, they did it! A little, too well, don't ya think?

Here is a lot of the crew as they are setting up a shot: Sabrina Allane, Me, Luis Herrera, Julio Escames, Gabriella Ono, Dilara Senbilgin, and Marley Maitland. I'll tell you a secret...that hospital bed did not recline.

It was a fun shoot and thought, its rare that an actor goes bald for a film. So I thought I'd show you the before and after. Thank you so much for checking it out!
