Flight Waits So Soldier Can Watch The Birth Of His Daughter On FaceTime

posted by Marcus -

Brooks Lindsay was going to make it home in time to watch the birth of his daughter.  Or so he thought.  The soldier stationed in El Paso, waiting for deployment to Kuwait, got the emergency call from his wife that their daughter was coming two weeks early.  He got special permission and headed to the airport to get home.

During the original flight delay, he watched as his mom filmed in secret in the delivery room.  JUST as his new daughter was about to come out, he was ordered to board the flight.  His wife started screaming hysterically to allow him to wait.  And they did.

SPECIAL MOMENT: A soldier was stuck in an airport after his flight was delayed and a fellow passenger snapped this photo of him as he watched the birth of his daughter on his phone. She said he was crying and her heart was breaking. “I wanted to share this because I never want us to forget about our soldiers who serve us every day and the sacrifices they make.” (📷: Tracy Dover) #supportourtroops #soldier #family #love #birth
