New study reveals habits of people who live the longest...

and you might be a bit surprised!

It turns out people who drank a couple of glasses of beer or wine each day were actually less likely to experience premature death than those who exercised between 15-45 minutes each day.

The 90+ Study was conducted by researchers at UC Irvine with the goal of studying people who live to be older than most.

Here's a rundown of some of the findings so far:

  • People who keep busy with hobby 2 hours/day: 21% less likely to experience premature death
  • Drinking two glasses of beer or wine a day: 18% less likely to experience premature death
  • Exercising 15 to 45 minutes a day: 11% less likely to experience premature death
  • Drank 2 cups of coffee per day (as opposed to non-coffee drinkers): 10% less likely to experience premature death
  • Slightly overweight, but not obese: 3% less likely to experience premature death than "normal" or underweight people

Interesting, huh?

I'm wondering what my odds are like if I were to make drinking beer a formal hobby. ;)
