Wow, how scary! Actor/comedian Kevin Smith suffered a massive heart attack Sunday night. He was filming 2 comedy specials at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, and decided to cancel the 2nd show as he wasn't feeling well. He wrote below:
"The Doctor who saved my life told me I had 100% blockage of my LAD artery (aka “the Widow-Maker”). If I hadn’t canceled show 2 to go to the hospital, I would’ve died tonight. But for now, I’m still above ground!
So glad he's okay! Read more on his story here. Always a good reminder to get your heart checked. Marcus and I both had a "Coronary Artery Calcium Scan", as suggested by my friend Victoria who runs No More Broken Hearts, and we are SO glad we did. This specific test can show you if you have calcium build-up and/or blockage in your arteries surrounding your heart. GO GET CHECKED! It could save your life.
