Cafe in Oakland won't serve to cops in uniform

It all started when an Oakland police sergeant stopped by "Hasta Muerte" Coffee in the Fruitvale District to buy a cup, but the sergeant was denied service.  People around the community don't agree with this movement but for an unknown reason cafe Hasta Muerte has set this rule. The cafe hasn't responded to the police union's letter sent two weeks ago requesting an explanation. Cafe managers declined to comment.

You won't be able to miss this cafe is located on 27th St and Fruitvale Ave in Oakland because the building has a mural on the outside the cafe displaying fatal police shootings and law enforcement militarization...

Oakland cafe refuses to serve cops

A cafe in Oakland's Fruitvale District won't serve uniformed cops. A sergeant found that out the hard way recently when he went to Hasta Muerte ("Until Death" in Spanish) to introduce himself - and to buy a cup - and was denied service. Residents, Councilmember Noel Gallo and the police union speak out. VIDEO:
