CHP Saves Baby Deer Caught In Carr Fire

As of Sunday night, the Carr Fire in Shasta County had burned over 100,000 acres and caused untold damage and loss of life.  It's hard to find any "good news" amidst the chaos but here is a small sliver:

The California Highway Patrol shared on Facebook that two officers were able to save a baby deer in the fire zone. Fire officials called the officers in to evacuate the fawn and a local deer rescue organization is taking care of the cutie.

The photos on the post are heart melters. Little “Carra” as she is called, is doing well.
