Meet The Pets From Marin Humane On This Week's Furry Fridays!

These pets are available to adopt at Marin Humane, along with a ton of other amazing pets who deserve a great forever home!

Get to know Rio:

It may take Rio a minute to warm up to you upon first meeting, but it isn't long before he reveals what a big goofball he is. He is a strong, energetic adolescent that still has a lot to learn, especially in the manners department. But that is where you come in! Rio is smart and loves treats, so get him started right away with his schooling so he can grow to be a well-rounded adult. Family Dog 1 is a great place to start. He will also need slow introductions to other dogs, and should be matched with his canine pals carefully because he is so rambunctious. But Rio really is a "diamond in the rough" who will be worth the effort- make an appointment to come meet him today!

Get to know Adonis:

Adonis was recently surrendered to Marin Humane. He's a super social, snuggly, and fun guy. Plus, he's that perfect medium size: Big enough to do fun stuff, small enough to pick up in an emergency. Adonis's previous family also said that he was great with kids. We're hoping to find him a family that loves huskies--quirks included. Adonis can not live with cats or other small animals (rabbits, birds, etc.). If you live by livestock, that's a no-go as well. Sorry! It's just that cats and livestock are waaay to tempting to chase. Adonis is an athletic young lad, and he's fast enough to catch and tackle fluffy things that run from him. (Dogs not included.) Because of his desire to chase and natural wanderlust, Adonis needs a home with a secure outdoor space. He's a master at finding gaps in fences. Adonis also prefers going on long, scenic hikes with you over going to the dog park. If you're up for managing all of Adonis's husky-ness, he will make it well worth it! He'll pay you in snuggles, kisses, and silliness that is sure to make you laugh.

Get to know Coco Bean:

Coco Bean is such a love!!! OMG..we have really fallen for him. He makes the cutest sounds when he settles on your lap for petting. He was adopted off of Next Door where he had been a classroom pet. Sadly he was with another male gp that bullied him...a lot. Now he's enjoying the single life for sure! The family that took him had other gp's and decided it was too many.

Coco is pretty easy to pick up. He's social, calm, curious, outgoing, friendly, super handsome and lived with children. We think he'd be fine for a family new to gp's or someone who is ready for an easy one.

Get to know Raj & Billie:

What a beautiful pair of bonded boys! Raj is dazzling with his lovely flame point good looks and Billie is just so stunning with his orange tabby highlights!

Raj is the most outgoing of the two siblings and (once he is comfortable!) enjoys lots of petting and climbing in and out of your lap. Although Raj is not that fond of grooming, his coat definitely requires it. Use positive reinforcement (food, Churu cat treats) to associate brushing with yummy things.

Billie is more bashful and will take a bit longer than Raj for him to trust. Their foster mom reports that they are gaining confidence daily and now greet her with confident "up" tails, although movement and noises still can make them bolt for a hidy spot. Both boys love to play with the cat dancer wand toy--they will run all over the room chasing it!

Raj and Billie will thrive in a quiet and patient home. Set them up for success by giving them a room of their own while they adjust to their new environment. Make it as cat friendly as possible--cat trees, toys, hidy bed, cat scratchers...and of course two litter boxes!

Tune into Marcus & Sandy every Friday to meet another animal that could be your family's next pet.
