Have you ever read a book that was so enticing you just couldn't put it down, and when you finally finished it, you had no one to talk to about the story or discuss all the intricate details and theories? A new book club-inspired podcast is bringing those conversations directly to you, with some special appearances from some of the hottest authors at the moment.
The newly-launched Bookmarked by Reese's Book Club is a podcast where incredible stories told by "bold women" lead to "irresistible" must-listen conversations. Hosted by journalist Danielle Robay and featuring special guests like celebrities, influencers and authors from Reese Witherspoon's Book Club, Bookmarked "dives into the stories that shape us" and balances "thoughtful literary insight with the fervor of buzzy book trends, pop culture and more."
On the first episode of the podcast published June 24, Robay was joined by author Emily Henry and screenwriter Yulin Kuang to talk about the "romance renaissance" and share some insight into their collaboration adapting Henry's best-selling book The People We Meet on Vacation into an upcoming movie. The trio also discussed some literary tropes they would like to ban as well as their "red flag reading habits."
"This is a new one, people are skimming books. Some people only read the dialogue," Henry said, as Kuang added, "People who leave three-star Goodreads reviews. Give it a one or a five. Commit!"
