Bay Area CEOs You Should Know: Deloitte's Amry Junaideen

Amry Junaideen is Deloitte’s Greater Washington Market leader and Northern Virginia Managing Principal. As the Greater Washington Market Leader, Amry is responsible for Deloitte’s market strategy, business development, social impact, and other strategic initiatives in the region.

Immediately preceding these roles, Amry was the Lead Client Service Partner for a major national health system, responsible for all services provided by Deloitte.

Amry’s overall experience spans more than 32 years, including 29 with Deloitte having started with Deloitte's Australian firm as a Senior Consultant. His agile, outcome oriented, people centric, and collaborative work style has resulted in leadership roles on a variety of diverse platforms including extensive client service, firm management, operations, talent, governance, and global. He has had significant geographic marketplace and office leadership roles in the US and aboard and has served clients and held leadership roles in in multiple sectors in commercial and the public sector, collaborating with all of Deloitte’s core businesses including audit, tax, and consulting. His client and practice leadership roles have included substantial time in Australia and India, and international experiences extending to at least twenty countries. Amry’s consults with his clients on risk management, governance, cybersecurity, technology, digital, talent, and leadership. Amry has also had substantial external eminence on risk management, cyber, and technology matters.

Previously, Amry was the U.S. Life Sciences & Health Care Leader for Deloitte's Advisory Business. Prior to his industry leadership role, Amry spent three years in India where he was responsible for all risk advisory services provided in the Indian market and for risk and financial advisory services provided by India Deloitte professionals to US clients.

Prior to his assignment in India, Amry was the U.S. Federal Government Advisory Clients & Markets Leader responsible for the establishment and delivery of the strategy to provide risk advisory services to the Federal government. Immediately prior to these roles, Amry spent four years as the leader of the Federal Advisory Technology Risk, Cybersecurity, and Accounting, Valuation, & Analytics Service areas. In addition, Amry served as the Federal Chief Talent Officer for two years. Prior to Amry's move to Washington, DC, he served numerous clients in the Life Sciences and Consumer sectors in the northeast and held various Deloitte leadership roles. Junaideen holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. Cloud State University.
