Last year, not only did the world lose two legends but, Billie Lourd lost her mother and grandmother.
Her mom, Carrie Fisher passed away and while Billie was dealing with that loss, her grandmother, Debbie Reynolds passed the day after.
So how exactly did Billie deal with this tragedy?
She told Town and Country magazine,
“If life’s not funny, then it’s just true – and that would be unacceptable... that was what got me through that whole thing. When Debbie died the next day, I could just picture her [Carrie Fisher] saying, ‘Well, she’s upstaging me once again, of course – she had to.’"
She then goes on to discuss how she feels now that she's had to move forward without them.
"I love being my mother’s daughter, and it’s something I always will be, but now I get to be just Billie. It’s a lot of pressure, because she [Carrie] had such an incredible legacy, and now I have to uphold that and make it evolve in my own way.”
Billie is so strong and positive after having to deal with such a tragedy.
