Pixar Pier Is Coming To Disney's California Adventure!

Big changes are on its way to Disney's California Adventure...Pixar-themed changes!

Watching a Disney Pixar movie is an experience in itself, well now your adventures with the beloved Pixar characters never have to end!

Pixar Pier opens in Summer 2018 and it will include four new neighborhoods, each representing a treasured Disney Pixar story.

This will permanently transform Paradise Pier with newly themed attractions, entertainment, foods, and merch.

The first of the four themed neighborhoods is inspired by The Incredibles!

Transforming California Screamin' comes the Incredicoaster!

The new super coaster will open with Pixar Pier and feature a mid-century-modern-style loading area, new character moments, and a renovated look for the ride vehicles.

Grab your super suits and tuck in your capes because this is going to be a wild ride!

California Screamin’ will close on January 8th.

Toy Story Mania! is part of the Toy Story-inspired neighborhood, while a neighborhood inspired by Inside Out will be found on the western side of the boardwalk with a new family-friendly attraction, scheduled to open at a later date.

We’re feeling like Joy just thinking about this!

The fourth neighborhood will be a celebration of many of your favorite Pixar stories!

Mickey’s Fun Wheel will have a makeover, with each of the 24 gondolas featuring different Pixar characters, but don’t worry, the iconic face of Mickey Mouse will remain on the wheel.

The Games of the Boardwalk will now all be inspired by Pixar characters!

Mickey’s Fun Wheel, Games of the Boardwalk, and the store Sideshow Shirts will close January 8 to begin this transformation.

Ariel’s Grotto restaurant and the Cove Bar will be transformed into a new lounge and grill offering sparkling views of Paradise Bay and the new Pixar Pier.

Both locations will close January 8, with Cove Bar reopening briefly in April before closing again for its permanent transformation.

The remaining areas of the land that is now Paradise Pier, including Paradise Gardens, Silly Symphony Swings, Jumpin’ Jellyfish, Goofy’s Sky School, Golden Zephyr, and The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure will become a new land called Paradise Park.

This is officially the end of an era, but we can't wait to see all the new changes once completed!
