Trader Joe's Sells A Healthier Version Of The Classic Frosted Sugar Cookies

Growing up, these cookies always had divided reactions at school...you know those frosted sugar cookies from the grocery store.

They taste more like a cake than a cookie and come with a thick layer of sugary frosting on top.

People either love them or hate them with a PASSION.

Well for those who love those classic cookies, Trader Joe's has created its own version.

Like all good sugar cookies, the buttery-soft cookie is topped with cream-colored frosting and rainbow sprinkles.

As to be expected, Trader Joe's version is slightly healthier than most.

It's made without partially hydrogenated oils or artificial flavors and colors.

Even the sprinkles on top use fruit and vegetable extracts to get their color instead of artificial dyes.

Granted, the cookies are made with flour, sugar, margarine, eggs, and butter, so they definitely still fall in the dessert category, but that also means they likely taste similar to the ones you know and love or love to hate.

Trader Joe's Frosted Sugar Cookies are available in stores now and a pack of 10 sells for a mere $2.99.
