Ben & Jerry's Just Released Low Calorie Pints!

Ben & Jerry's is known for it's deliciousness like Cherry Garcia, Half-Baked, The Tonight Dough and so much more!

Ben & Jerry's pints are comfort food at its finest, but they are now becoming health-conscious too!

Ben & Jerry's lower-calorie ice cream line, Moo-Phoria, officially launches today with three flavors: Chocolate Milk & Cookies, Caramel Cookie Fix, and P.B. Dough.

All three have fewer calories, sugar, and fat than regular B&J's pints and are made with organic dairy.

Each flavor has about 150 calories per serving (that's half a cup, or a quarter of a pint) and around 15 grams of sugar.

Fat was reduced by 60 to 70 percent, so each serving has around 5 grams, compared to 15 to 19 grams in the new Truffles pints.

Instead of using sugar alcohols or sugar substitutes, Ben & Jerry's Flavor Guru Craig Koskiniemi says they lightened the ice cream by reducing the amount of cream and adding in more air.

There's no aftertaste to the new flavors, and while they do taste a little less indulgent than usual pints, they don't taste like "healthy" ice cream.

That's largely due to the mix-ins and in true Ben & Jerry's fashion, there are still plenty of chunks and swirls inside.

Caramel Cookie Fix has shortbread cookies and salted caramel swirls, while Chocolate Milk and Cookies has the same cookies as the regular Milk and Cookies flavor mixed into vanilla and chocolate ice cream.

P.B. Dough (the most caloric of the three, with 160 calories per serving) blends chocolate ice cream with gobs of chocolate chip peanut butter dough.

The light pints are definitely still more caloric than other healthy ice cream options — a whole pint of Moo-Phoria has around 600 calories.

Moo-Phoria flavors will be in stores nationwide starting February 7, along with Ben & Jerry's newest non-dairy and pint slice flavors and new line of Truffle pints.
