A Snowboarder's Olympic Debut Ended Up In A Terrifying Crash!

Imagine being a 16-year-old making your snowboarding debut at the 2018 Winter Olympics.

Well, this was reality for Japanese snowboarder Yuto Totsuka and unfortunately his Olympic debut ended in a terrifying crash!

Many of the athletes in the final fell during the first run of the men's halfpipe.

However, it was during the second run where we saw Yuto suffer a gut-wrenching crash that left the crowd stunned and in complete silence.

Yuto went up high on the pipe, but he strayed too far over the edge and came crashing down on the lip of the halfpipe, smacking to the ground.

Paramedics rushed to his aid and despite Yuto being in clear pain, he was able to sit up as they treated him.

The Japanese snowboarder was then loaded onto a snowmobile to be taken off the track to receive further testing.

Reports from South Korea claim Yuto has now returned to the Olympic village with no broken bones.
