Rita's Italian Ice is giving customers FREE Italian ices today (3/20) for the first day of spring!
Rita's announced on social media that they want customers to treat themselves by picking up one of their famous frozen flavors and then post it on social media using the hashtag #WhatsYourExcuse.
Customers are encouraged to share a good excuse for why they decided to drop all of their responsibilities and pop into one of their stores for a sample.
The Italian ice lover who comes up with the best excuse can then win a free trip to Miami where the temperatures actually feel like the first day of spring.
The contest rules state "a three-day, two-night "Ultimate Hooky Trip" to Miami will be awarded to the contestant who posts the best excuse to ditch their daily responsibilities on the First Day of Spring and visit their nearest Rita's for free Italian Ice.
