More Than 200 Million Eggs Have Been Recalled Over Salmonella Fears!

WARNING: over 200 million eggs have been recalled by Rose Acre Farms because they could potentially be contaminated with Salmonella!

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the company is voluntarily recalling exactly 206,749,248 eggs, which were distributed from a Hyde County, North Carolina farm. 

The recall affects consumers in the following states: Colorado, Florida, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.

According to the FDA, the eggs came from plant number P-1065 and have a date range of 011 through date of 102 printed on the packaging.

The affected eggs were sold under these brands:

  • Coburn Farms
  • Country Daybreak
  • Crystal Farms
  • Food Lion
  • Glenview
  • Great Value
  • Nelms
  • Sunshine Farms
  • Waffle House

The recall came about after 22 illnesses were reported in states along the East Coast. 

Salmonella poisoning can cause fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.

Consumers who have purchased the eggs should immediately stop using them and return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
