IKEA is a place we all know really well such as getting basically EVERYTHING!
Well apparently an IKEA hotel could be happening in Connecticut!
Not only would shoppers have a place to sleep if they wanted to make their IKEA trip a multi-day affair, but the conversion would also preserve a historic building.
The plans for opening a hotel came up in a meeting with the New Haven Development Commission.
IKEA claims that there are no plans as of right now to transform the building, but the New Haven Independent is convinced it will happen!
You might be wondering why Connecticut?
Well apparently it's because there is an abandoned building right near the IKEA location.
If IKEA does use the building for a hotel, it isn't clear when it would actually open, but the rooms will be pretty cheap.
Considering the rooms at Ikea Hotell in Sweden start at 495 SEK per person per night, which is roughly $56.
Would you stay at an IKEA hotel?
