There Was A Data Breach At Chili's!

If you have eaten at Chili's in March or April, you should probably take a look at your credit card statement ASAP!

Brinker International, Chili's Grill & Bar's parent company, announced a security breach to the Chili's system on May 11.

The source of the data breach is still unknown, however Brinker is working with a third-party forensic team to investigate what happened.

The company is offering free credit monitoring and fraud resolution services to minimize the damage.

Services include a year of credit monitoring, a $1 million insurance reimbursement policy, and identity theft recovery services.

In the announcement, Brinker says they believe credit or debit card numbers and cardholder names were taken, but not home addresses or other personal information.

At this time, they don't recommend cancelling your credit card unless you've noticed suspicious activity.

Chili's may send out email correspondence as more information becomes available, but they have not done so yet.
