When you think of Kellogg's Frosted Flakes, you would usually associate the cereal with their mascot Tony the Tiger.
I mean, Tony the Tiger has his classic line saying, "They're Grrreaaat"
Well the health and social care select committee has called for a ban on "brand-generated characters or licensed TV and film characters" as well as junk food advertisements in attempt lower childhood obesity rates.
That means Tony the Tiger and the Milky Bar kid may be getting banned in Britain's MPs group because apparently the characters are promoting child obesity.
Food characters like Jolly Green Giant would still be allowed to promote veggies since it's a healthy food option.
TV chef and campaigner Jamie Oliver told the committee that cartoons and superheroes should not be used to "peddle rubbish" and warned Theresa May to act now as "the future of the NHS is at stake".
Do you think these food mascots promote child obesity?
