JetBlue Saves A Dog's Life On A Flight!

Michele and Steven Burt's French Bulldog was on a JetBlue flight when the pup named Darcy began to struggle to breathe.

JetBlue crew members on the plane quickly and calmly came to the rescue!

Darcy started pushing her head against the mesh part of her carrier so Michele loosened the zipper on her carry-on so she could poke her face out.

She said, "I noticed that her tongue was blue, and I am aware that is a sign of insufficient oxygen (Hypoxia), so I pulled her out from under the seat and placed her on my lap to cool down and help her relax as she was panicking and breathing frantically."

A flight attendant politely told Michele that Darcy had to remain under the seat in her carrier because of regulations.

Michele told the crew member Darcy needed help.

Two other flight attendants brought ice bags for Darcy, hoping to cool her down.

However, Darcy continued to pant heavily.

They brought a small oxygen tank with a mask attached and offered it saying, 'Maybe this will help'.

She placed the mask over her face, and within a few minutes she became alert and after a short time she didn't want the mask.

JetBlue responded to Michele's letter stating they were happy to hear the crew members went "above and beyond" in helping Darcy.

Darcy is now home and Michele says that Darcy is home, happy, and chasing squirrels.

We are happy Darcy is okay!
