Starbucks Is Testing Out Healthier Frappuccinos At California Locations!

According to CNN Money, Starbucks has been testing out healthier frappuccinos at about 600 stores across California, Missouri, and Rhode Island.

You might be wondering what makes these frappuccinos "healthy"?!

Well these drinks apparently have less calories and less sugar compared to the normal frappuccinos.

For example, a grande size of the new healthier caramel frappe reportedly contains 49 grams of sugar instead of the usual 67 grams.

It is also 370 calories to the usual 420 calories.

The coffee chain is able to do this by reportedly separating the sugar from their flavoring.

These frappuccinos also have a bit more milk than the usual ones to compensate for sugar and calories lost with the flavoring change.

Customers are reportedly receiving these new frappe and a Starbucks rep told CNN that people are "responding positively, which is why we're continuing to test it."

The spokesperson told Delish, "We began this work in an effort to reduce sugar by 25 percent across our most indulgent beverages ... We know that our customers are seeking balance with cold, less indulgent drinks."

What do you think about this?

Would you try the healthier version of a frappuccino?
