Kotex Has Recalled Their Tampons!

Kimberly-Clark, the company that manufactures personal care products has announced a recall.

They are recalling the regular absobency U by Kotex Sleek tampons in the U.S. and Canada because there have been reports of the tampons unraveling or coming apart upon removal.

Some users even had to seek "medical attention to remove tampon pieces left in the body."

There have also been reports of infections, irritation, injury and other problems from these tampons.

The recall announcement said that people should seek medical attention if they experience symptoms like vaginal injury, irritation, urogenital infections, abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting.

At the bottom of the box, you'll find a lot number where you can check to see if your product has been recalled.

There's also a lot number checking tool on their website.

The recalled products were manufactured between October 7, 2016, and October 16, 2018, and distributed between October 17, 2016, and October 23, 2018.

The company also notes that no other Kotex products are affected by this recall.

The US Food and Drug Administration website says that "any consumer with the impacted U by Kotex Sleek Tampons, Regular Absorbency, in their possession should stop using the product immediately."

If you've been affected by the recalled product, you can call the Kimberly-Clark Consumer Service team at 1-888-255-3499 between 7:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.
