You know those little plastic rings for a six-pack of beer and how they have been causing plastic pollution for our oceans and beaches?
Well Corona is taking matters into their own hands as they announced that they will be testing 100 percent plastic-free six-pack rings.
According to a press release, this is part of Corona's commitment to an organization called Parley for the Oceans.
By doing this, they hope to "help protect the world's oceans and beaches from marine plastic pollution."
The new eco-friendly packaging are made with "plant-based biodegradable fibers, with a mix of by-product waste and compostable materials."
They will also "break down into organic material that is not harmful to wildlife."
The first location where these plastic free rings will be tested is in Tulum, Mexico, at the beginning of the year.
What do you think about this?
