Jennie-O Recalled More Ground Turkey Due To Salmonella In California!

Jennie-O issued a recall last month. on their ground turkey after salmonella concerns and now the recall has just been expanded.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service says that "the expansion is now up to 164,210 pounds of ground turkey due to the possibility of salmonella contamination."

The latest of the recalled products have markings that says to use or freeze by Nov. 12 or 13.

This recent announcement comes after 216 people across 38 states got sick and 1 person has died.

This recall applies to the 3 pound and 2.5 pound packages of Jennie-O ground turkey and Stater Bros. ground turkey.

It also applies to the 1 pound packages of Jennie-O ground turkey, taco-seasoned ground turkey and Italian-seasoned ground turkey.

These products will have "EST. P-579" inside the USDA mark of inspection or on the side of the tray.

These products were shipped to California, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas and Wisconsin.
