It's hard being a kid in school and this 9-year-old Thomas Daniel was having a rough time.
Officer Lynema in Grand Rapids saw Thomas chasing after the school bus in the morning and when the bus didn't stop the officer asked the child if he needed help.
Thomas told the officer that he missed the bus and his mom didn't have a car so the officer asked the mom and he took Thomas to school.
During the ride Officer Lynema found out that it was Thomas' 9th birthday and Thomas invited him to his birthday party after school.
Officer Lynema also found out that Thomas was getting bullied at school and that his scared no one from his class would show up to his birthday.
Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened and the only people at the party was Officer Lynema nd Thomas' siblings.
At the party, the officer noticed that a cake was missing so he took matters into his own hands.
The next day, Officer Lynema along with his co-workers surprised Thomas with a surprise party as soon as Thomas got off the bus and topped it with a Krispy Kreme donut cake, presents, and a singing quartet!
