I can't count the number of times I've used the giant Christmas tree at the Grove as the backdrop for holiday cards. (Which is always a challenge to not have some random person in the shot) And it's that time again. The start to the holiday season is official, as a giant Christmas tree made the 600 mile trip down the 5, from Mount Shasta, and arrived at the Grove this morning.
And as they mentioned on KTLA 5, "the tree is over 100 feet tall, which is taller than the one at Rockefeller Center".
Take a look at the clip from the news, as not only do they give us info on how many lights will be on it, but also what happens to the tree when they take it down.
