So, I don't have any kids of my own, but I've been in relationships where it's a topic that has come up at a certain point.

I guess I was only thinking mentally unready, and didn't even consider that the monthly costs of having a child would cost this much. Which, according to the 2015 Expenditures on Children by Families report, could cost as much as nearly $13,000 just in the first year.
